BFIA relationship with IFIP in 2000-2001
The financial situation of the Federation still remains poor, but stable. As usual,
governmental support had to be asked for the payment of the IFIP membership fee. There
still is no money to support the attendance to the GA and TC meetings on a regular basis.
BFIA and IFIP related activities in 2000-2001
- December 5th 2000, a meeting has been organised, which (partly) has been an IFIP
promotional event. About 50 interested persons have attended.
- In the fall of 2000, the Federation has become a member of CEPIS and of the
ECDL-Foundation. BFIA has signed a contract with a private consortium, transferring it
rights to set up and exploit the testcentra in Belgium. This is operational by now.
- May 18th 2001, TC9 has celebrated in a stylish way its 25th anniversary at the Facultés
Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix in Namur.
