Scope and Topics

Although computing is a modern phenomenon, it is important to capture its evolution as it occurred in different parts of the world.

This conference underscores the importance of recording the educational events as they developed in different countries. Dependent upon location, we find elements of the integration of computing technology within education as far back as the 1960s.

Therefore, in an effort to preserve this historical evolution, the conference programme committee welcomes you to submit contributions to document how computing has interacted with the educational process from those early days .

Hence, the purpose of this conference is to bring forward that history to the global community. Perhaps the experiences of the past, both positive and negative, may be useful for future generations. The temporal scope of this event should cover the early days through the 1980s.

Submissions
The Programme Committee (PC) encourages you to submit conference papers regarding the history of computing as it affects educational developments from the pre-school years through the university years.

Papers should conform to the purpose of the conference. The programme committee also welcomes any other contributions such as panels or posters to make the experience exciting and memorable. Final paper-contributions will appear in the conference proceedings, which will include all accepted papers.

Submit all material in electronic form through the web to www.wcc2004.org/hce . All submissions will be acknowledged electronically. If you have not received an acknowledgment within 72 hours of submitting your paper electronically, please contact hce-submission@wcc2004.org .
